The Children in the Middle
“Children face their parents’ divorce—a decision they do not participate in but which changes their lives. The authors, a mother and daughter, explain through dialogues, personal confessions, and real cases how and when to communicate the decision to children. Don’t just say ‘we’re separating’ and then see what happens. ‘Being right is useless in the realm of feelings. What matters is knowing what to do with what we face and finding ways for genuine change.’ Ana Tempelsman and Silvia Salinas have created an intelligent and easily readable book; they show that it is not necessary to be tragic to discuss deep topics and teach parents how to navigate divorce without forgetting the children in the middle.”
This book is also published in Mexico as “Los hijos en medio” by Editorial Océano, 2012.
